i think you've done a great job describing Melbourne. i've lived there almost my whole life and believe it is the best city to live in in the entire world. it has so much to offer and so much going on. it has all the events of a huge city but retains the personal feeling of a much smaller city.
i'd like to know how long you visited/lived in Melbourne for. i'd be very interested in hearing your opinions.

Sorry its been almost 3 months since I checked the site.
I've lived in Melbourne for 25 years and have a great interest in good food and wine, hence the emphasis on such things. Thanks for your comments.

I found everthing you have entered to be very detailed and correct, except for your assessment of the "Yarra Valley" I have been selling Real Estate in the area and have lived in and around it all my life.
There are maybe 2 or 3 good wineries and Healseville Sanctuary, but it takes bloody miles to get from one to another. The promotions and the propaganda coming from the "Valley" is embellished to say the least and in fact it is just a long,long drive with the occasional pub and pie shop. Do not go into the Valley with no particular goal, looking for a nice day in the bush, it will not work. Have a place to go before you set out, otherwise you won't even find the pie shop!
