Got tickets to view the launch of the Discovery at Kennedy Space Center on Oct. 5, 2000. I've lived in Florida for years and
it's about time to see it happen.

I lived in FL for years, too. I never did go up to the Cape to see it, but I could see/hear/feel it from my yard. Night launches are amazing; catch one of those if you can. You'll love it, day or night, I'm sure. Let us know how it is.
