Huh? Lush? I know there's a shop in Covent Garden called Lush, and there's a band called Lush (though I've never heard a song by said band)...

I'm sorry...
Did I hear you say that Marmite was disgusting?

Well...

You either love it or hate it, I suppose. I love it.

Don't think it goes with poached egg though.

However, I can't let it go that someone hates Marmite.

...And yes, it deserves the capital letter.

Here is a list of foods I hate:

Sweetcorn
Parsley
Spinach (no surprise there)
Honey (but it's OK in little bits)
Mushrooms (Ditto)
Any of those manky Linda McCartney things. Apart from the sausages smiley - smiley

BTW, what is your obsession with lûv Clelba?

I do not have staples in my diet. It must be an American thing. Are we talking about those little bits of metal? Perhaps you meant "noodles should be part of everyone's staple diet".

Yes I am insane. Ignore me if you can.

Lush = Luscious.
Meaning... err.......... Can't put it into words exactly, but, like, really nice. That's the general gist of it. REALLY nice, I you know what I mean.
BTW, I haven't replied three times to myself.. they are different parts of this conversation. You would have to be a detective to figure that out.
Also, has Pokémon died out there in USA? (Please say yes....Please..... I hate Pokemon, no offence, actually the game is OK but everything else goes too far)

Sorry, I don't believe that Pokemon will ever die out here. (Although I'd be happy if it did.) Then again, I guess Power Rangers did, and other stuff like that... I'll let you know. smiley - winkeye
Staples, like basic stuff. I probably didn't spell it correctly... ah well.
Okay, I get the 'lush' thing... you'd think that all of us who speak 'english' would get together and find meanings for all this stuff. It's so annoying to be speaking with someone, thinking that the language is the same, when it isn't. Was there something else I was gonna reply to? Let's see...

Okay, I agree about honey and mushrooms, spinach is only good fresh on pizza or in salads where one can't taste it, and we don't have any of the Linda McCartney line of food products here. I still have never seen marmite (Marmite, whatever smiley - tongueout), and it sounds, well, um, interesting to say the least.

It is very interesting. Marmite that is. Yes, it is annoying to be speaking the same language but different.

are we still talking about pizza? i just read the whole thread, had a few comments and a few ?????'s

chicago style pizza is wonderful smiley - smiley , but not foldable. Uno's chicken and portabella is the BEST pizza i've ever had!!! if you want foldable pizza, then you want st. louis style.

i've heard of vegamite, heard it's disgusting (from someone in austrailia), but never heard of malmite (sp?). is it anything like spam?

i asked someone in england the other day what a pot noodle was, they told me they wondered the same thing, they thought it was american. so....what IS a pot noodle?

spinach is very good in stuffed pasta with cheese (lots and lots of cheese). or in chicken and spinich eggrolls. those are the only way i'll eat it tho.

sorry, it was marmite, not malmite. still, is it like spam?

No, it's not really like spam, it's stuff you spread on things like toast. Pot noodles are pretty disgusting, they're pots with noodles in, all dried out, with powdery stuff and dried vegetables in, then you pour boiling water on and it's sposed to be nice, but in reality, it's absolutely disgusting. people still like them though. Oh well.

so then, a pot noodle would be something akin to "cup-a-soup". i thought that came in cups, but i've just discovered it doesn't anymore. it comes in something like a cocoa envelope and you have to provide your own cup. but it sounds essentially the same: dried noodles, powdery stuff, sometimes dried veggies. add hot water and voila.

can't get a fix on marmite tho. maybe i'm better off? is it something like devilled ham? or more like cream cheese and applebutter? or just like an all purpose spread, like cheez-whiz without the cheez? i guess without experiencing it i will never know, some of you will consider that my loss, others my blessing.

I suppose Marmite is like Vegemite, only Vegemite is vegetarian....
It is definitely your loss, but others may disagree....
Re a few postings earlier by Clelba:
Oranges are the best fruit in the world, apart from possibly kiwi fruit smiley - biggrin I love kiwi fruit! And watermelon....
