Trees looks like fractals, especially the outline of a forest looks familiar. And then there's the famous fern fractal...
If you have a 3d modeller program, try gluing six cubes to the side of another, then do the same with the object you get... repeat enough times you will get a weird looking 3d thingy (that takes tons of computer memory)

Try doing it cutting holes in the sides (a square from the middle of the square side in the cube), repeat
