A Conversation for Mock-Goths

I think i know what you are getting at!
The problem i seem to be having at the moment is that all of the people in the 'place i attend' (will not swear in public) seem to think that they are goth/grebs, as they loudly proclaim to anyone within hearing. I abhore it! They are wannabies and it makes me feel like they are taking what i am and doing something quite disgusting to it, they are making it cheap and tacky.
I would not, strictly speaking, say i am goth. That is what most will categorize me as but i don't like labels (if labelled i want it to say 'individual')
I like a bit of everything, except brittney spears!

Hurrah! Hello fellow sufferer. Most of the people inflicted upon me were not Mock-Goths, but Townies: this only made the MGs stand out more and think they were justified since they got picked on too.
I'm not Goth either. I like the look, but I wouldn't do it because it's not me. I particularly like period and fantasy clothing, but I don't think that Goths have a monopoly on this. I get lots of interest from people about my clothing and I'm quite proud that they can't categorise me.

The only label applicable being individual, did i already say that?
So what sort of things do you wear?

Lots of the things I wear could be described as Goth, but I use them differently. I never wear all-black; my favourite colour is green. I like anything unusual- old-fashioned clothing (mediaeval stuff, 1920s), corsets, big fancy dresses, long handkerchief skirts, little pointy ankle boots, horns, stripy stockings, anything made from unusual fabric, etc. Most of what I wear is home-made; I'm setting up a web-based clothing site to sell my own designs.

Well i have so much black clothing that it is hard not to wear it (naked?) but i tend to go off on a tangent evey so often and wear clothes that look like i just had a fight with a tiger and tried to make myself look presentable, ripped and safetypinned, fishnets, i love velvet, its great! i make some of my own clothes but im not too good at it, i dont have the patience. your idea is cool, have you got an addy for it? i 'll take a look and tell you what i think!
