The Beatles are a must under music images

Pictures are only made for edited entries (that is, entries that have been picked from PeerReview and edited), if someone writes an entry on the beatles, then a picture might be drawn.

Actually, i've just checked the search engine, there are already quite a few edited beatles entries already. Unless you can think of a very interesting aspect of the beatles that hasn't been mentions, you don't stand much of a chance, sorry.

OK, this isn't the place to start a debate like this, and they've probably gone on for ages elsewhere, but...

If the CommunityArtists are volunteers, shouldn't they be allowed to make pics of whatever they want (as the BBC isn't paying them) and then submit them to the italics for inclusion in the picture library? I mean, if an artist's skill is undoubted, it would be very nice to let them make pictures of whatever they liked (as long as researchers didn't keep hounding them for things) - a couple of obvious things are very missing from the picture library, such as the Beatles, and a pig in the animals section.

The CAs are given specific pictures to draw, for the edited articles. If they were to do anything else it would have to be on top of that. I don't really know why they can't.

We are looking into ways that the Artists can be put to work for the Community, although we're not promising anything at this stage. I can say that they won't be taking individual requests.

You can hope that a Beatles entry will come up while I am recruiting new Artists, as they have to design an image for an old entry so that we can see their work.

Since there are people talking about the eatles already, I thought I'd join you here.

Is it just me, or shouldn't we have a proper picture of the band? I mean, the only one of the full Beatles isn't even of them all.
