Afternoon all.
Here is an article about Hunter Syndrome, another rare disease.
A bit dry, but then its not really a jokey subject. Probably a bit boring too.
What do you reckon?
Ta very much

Good, this, I think. But as someone who knows nothing about the subject I'd have liked to have read what it is ( which for me is the symptoms bit) somewhere up front with everything else following it (even maybe the scientificy explaination of how it works). Otherwise I followed it fine, so it should be OK for non specialists!

Very interesting and not a bit dry or boring. I liked the order and the lay-out. Nicely written. Easy to read and understand.

Hi!
You've written a great article here. In a couple of areas you might want to double check your spelling, and you might want to define a few more terms for the laymen and women out in the audience.
Also, the sympotoms section should follow directly from the "how the disease works" section, because the sentence, " Because the dermatan and heparan are not being broken down and removed from the body, they can build up to toxic levels, causing the symptoms of the disease." in the "how the disease works" section is a perfect lead-in to talk about the symptoms. Then it should continue on just as you have it.
Great job!
Respectfully,

Thank you all
I've moved the Symptoms section up a bit as per your advice. I agree that it makes it all scan a bit better.
Congratulations!

i'm not the one who reccommended it, but i think this article is a perfect example of why genetic engineering should definintly be allowed. would youwant to condemn someone to have this terrible disease if you could prevent it? i don't think that's amoral or wrong.

I agree to an extent, minesweep goddess - genetically engineering foetuses to eliminate disease is a noble goal, but ethically you are walking into a minefield of designer babies and eugenics. Gene therapy for people already born is probably less contraversial, but at the same time, probably has less chance of being effective. Non genetic therapy for Hunter syndrome doesn't yet exist, but watch this space - in three years time I guarantee that a treatment will be available from somebody - not much comfort for those who already suffer from the disease, I know.
PS thanks to whoever recommended this!!!
