Maybe it is just nitpicking, but I would say: 'the letters of the numbers name'.
It's a small difference of 'the number of letters...', but still it isn't Danny who said this first.

Did it ever happen that nobody gave the correct answer within a day?

It did once happen. Greebo posted another question the next day, but left the original question open. She allowed us all to have another go at it, even those of us who had already given wrong answers. Somebody got it eventually.
