Since cats originated in Egypt (or thereabouts), we have to consider that Greebo may be using the Arabic calenday, in which it is now only the year 1422 (I think). In this case the grandfather could have been born in Arabic 1332 (Gregorian 1901 approx) and have been 37 in 37*37 = 1369.

smiley - grr, me went off on a completely different direction, as he could have been theoretically born in any year where x(x-1) = year of birth (x being his age).
I decided to check all of Greebo's pages to see if somewhere she'd mentionned her RL grandpa.... Two hours later and I'm no more the wiser. (Except for having the pleasure of reading all of Greebo's entries...smiley - grovelsmiley - grovel

Oh well, I thought it was a good idea.
