A Conversation for Driving Etiquette - Spain
Universal Parking Lights
GraceK Started conversation Sep 30, 2002
There are very few car parks in Spain, so remember that you can always use your 'universal parking lights' (known as hazard lights in other countries). Simply park up where ever takes your fancy (blind bends, narrow streets) and put on your universal parking lights - now it's up to the other drivers to avoid you.
Also remember that sign posts in Spain appear at (or even after) the junction you're looking for. This has the one advantage that all drivers are expected to brake suddenly & change direction at the last minute.
