For some good information on the history of Seattle and the Seattle area try this page: (URL removed by moderator)
It has great stories from people who live in the area, histories of the various points of interest, and some new information like the recent accidental destruction of one of the landmarks (and the less recent intentional destruction of another).
Good luck,
Scott

'Fraid not. Since the Beeb bought H2G2 we're not permitted to use any URLs in conversations, only in entries. Irritating, isn't it!

Mind you, there's always the recommended workaround of creating an entry from your home space purely for the purpose of storing interesting links. You can then put a link to that page in a conversation because linking to other BBC pages IS allowed. Confused yet?

That's a good idea. What is their objection? Is it that we might (gasp) put in links to rude pages for naughty boys? Or that this might become a playground for advertisers?
I take it you live in Seattle? Is that right? I'm about to move to Bellingham (a month today). Any pointers on fun things to do in Washington State would be a fine thing indeed.
Phil
