A Conversation for Roy Slaven and HG Nelson

But then, I know who they're talking about - the 'Festival of the boot' is almost an occasion for religious observance in this house, as in many others in this part of the world, I suspect. The descriptions these two gave several years ago of a flood of 'brown carpet' rolling out of the touring English rugby league team's hotel room is an image which haunts me and convulses me with laughter to this day.
Anyone else care to say anything in support of sport's most glorious 'pair'?

Hate to blow my own trumpet, but there you go. I, too, can't wait for the next two Sundays watching TV with the sound turned down and Triple J on the radio. Oh, and roll on the Olympics, where Channel Seven will be allowing the chaps an hour or so each night to do their thing.

Is this obtainable outside Australia?

Gooday Wandrin'star,
I wish that it wasn't obtainable IN Australia. Mildly if fleetingly amusing upon first acquaintance, but thereafter increasingly and ineffably tiresome.
Walter.

Hi Walter,
Your turn for a go at the lemons is it?
I just think it will be a useful corrective to the BEEB's attempts to persuade us we've still got a world beater at anything. Personally, I've given up on almost all sports since Daley Thompson stopped walking on water. Still and all, I wish I were in Sydney.
