Bicarbonate reminds me of a candy we had as kids here called Zots! They were a hard candy filled with Sodium bicarbonate. They'd begin fizzing in your mouth once you pierced the inner chamber.

Well, they definitely don't taste like they normally do, but they're not unpleasant.

Bicarb is in a box; cornflour is in a canister. I shall be careful about that in the future smiley - blush
