If a Gungan was to wear a fez, tell bad jokes and perform bad magic tricks, and say things like "Meesa go like that, not like that", or "Meesa go to the doctor. Meesa say it mooey hurt when meesa do this. He say yoosa not do that thing.", would his stage name be Jar Jar Spoons?

I have a Jar Jar figure I got during the lead up promotional blitz for the first "prequel". I got it from Taco Bell, or some place like that. After seeing the "film" and Jar Jar Binks' "performance", I took a Jack in the Box antenna ball, carved out a bit from the bottom and stuck it on Jar Jar's head.
I call it Jack on the Binx. It sits on one of my computers here at work.

Can you still get Jack in the Box balls? I'd love one of those. I think we've spoken about this before.
There was a news story a few weeks ago about an original Star Wars toy that was being auctioned for silly money. There was something special about this, a limited edition maybe, but if I'd had any idea what even ordinary ones might go for these days, well, we'd all have bought up armfuls of them when the film came out (as well as all those other toys that people with more money than sense now pay telephone numbers for) and stashed them away, unopened.
Retirement fund.
And I wasn't drunk You should have seen what I was going to post before I decided it probably wouldn't work

Ah! There's a reason the Mattel SW toys from the original film are sometimes worth tons o' bucks. We played with them! We got them dirty. We broke their limbs off occasionally. They didn't make limited editions back then, at least not on purpose. There were some that limited in that there was a production error, or they just weren't very popular characters and those became expensive collectibles, but any time you now see a product be it a toy, soft drink can or whatever, you can be sure that it will NEVER be an expensive collectible because they're making millions of them. A sad aspect of this is that now toy companies make toys that are expected to never be played with. When you were 10, could you even imagine such a thing? A toy to be left in its box forever? What a strange idea?!

I wish I could remember more about this particular toy, but of course I can't remember which news site I read about it on and can't find it in a search, but it wasn't limited in that the company purposely made it such for sale, it might have been one that was made to be given to reporters or reviewers, or people who'd worked on the film, something long those lines.
Or something nothing like that at all.
And there were people - usually the more nerdy types - who would buy toys like that and either never open them, or at least never actually play with them. I had one very similar to this http://www.casavasi.es/contents/media/l_cor-279-2.jpg which I'd only take out of the box to polish. I've no idea what happened to it. Nor how much it'd be worth today.

Dang, I wish I still had a memory. I saw an actor not long ago that looked just like Jar Jar. Really! Poor guy. Now I can't remember which film it was to look up who he is.
