Ahhhhhhh. Gonna spoil the kids. Have you thought about getting them a younger sibling that lives with you?

I've thought about it but I wouldn't want to keep a cat indoors all the time and this apartment's too small for pets. It wouldn't be such a problem letting a cat out right now but once I start working again... well, I just remember those mornings when I had to go and catch a bus but Dewey was nowhere to be seen smiley - headhurts

Yeah, that would be scary. I really am lucky to have the set up I have at home. I have a large fenced back yard and pet flaps so the kids can go in and out.

I'm overprotective of Greebo. I should let him out once in a while. Now that he's fixed, I have no reason not to, other than it's been so long since he's been out I'm afraid he might wander off and get lost.

Amy Pawloski, aka 'paper lady'--'Mufflewhump'?!? click here to find out... (ACE)

I wish this house had anywhere to put in a dog door--the only door that goes straight outside is the front door (the other going into the garage), and neither Tom nor I want a boxer-sized flap in that...

Amy, I've seen pet flaps put into the wall of a garage, rather than a door.

Dewey has... put on a little weight. I'm sure it's mostly because he doesn't get let out any more (too many fights, too many vets bills), but maybe also cos he's getting on a bit now (he's 12 or 13, I can't remember), but he's definitely not able to jump up onto the sofa like he once could. I hope that's not arthritis or something similar smiley - sadface He was always such an active cat. I once saw him jump six feet straight up to get out of a drain... which he'd somehow got into and we had to find a way to lift the (seriously heavy) grate to let him out smiley - cross

Yeah, Greebo has been slowing down and plumping up a bit lately. Even the laser beam only keeps his attention for about 30 seconds before apathy rules the day.

However, in the last few months he's had no choice but to do a bit of running...

Nessie likes to be "IT" in games of tag. smiley - laugh
