There is only one thing worse than being Gosho, and that is not being Gosho Started conversation Apr 24, 2004
I had occasion to look for my very first h2g2 post earlier today, and I had to get to '&skip=9700' before I got there
Now, since I must have unsubscribed to a couple of thousand other convos since then, that puts me well over 10k. That's a lot of talking
Of course, I just know that GreyDesk is going to come along and say 'Only 9700 Goshers? Pshaw ' Well, I know that you've got 12,600 under your belt GD, so pee po belly bum drawers to you

In that case you've violated a BBC trademark. 'Po' is a well known and highly respected member of the Teletubbies team, to which you've seen fit to not spell his(?) name correctly. You should be ashamed of yourself

I only had to go back 1,275 to find this, which is probably somewhere around my oldest: F25936?thread=26571&post=144095#p138985
I do massive amounts of unsubscribing....

'Pee po belly bum drawers' is from a Flanders and Swan song, and though it may be copyright material, it's short enough to be fair use Anyway, it's the title of the song
Ma's out, Pa's out, let's talk rude!
Pee po belly bum drawers.
Let's dance in the garden in the nude.
Pee po belly bum drawers.

I *never* unsubscribe from something unless it's in protest...
I'm not subscribed to ask h2g2, but am moving slow and steady upwards, at 9,250 at the moment...

S'easy Paul You just have to mess about with a url.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/MP176638&show=50&skip=100
Copy that into a browser window and hit 'enter'. When the page comes up, go up to the address window and change the '100' to 200, then hit 'enter' again. Keep increasing the number (working back through your conversations) until you get a page with no conversations on it, then work forwards until you do. The number in the url after &skip= tells you how many you've skipped to get to that page

See? I knew it pays to stay subscribed to everything. Just today I got a reply on a post I made the first day I came here.

I'm only subsribed to 850 conversations.
See, I thought the point of being here was to prune the conversations where nothing has happened in a long time.

It's often a pleasant surprise to find a conversation which hasn't had a post for three years suddenly pop up on your postings list
