Hi BP!
Why don't you try out some of the 5 busiest forums on the starting page h2g2.com?
May the be with you
*drifting off, in her usual v.e.l.manner, hoping some ACE will drop in to welcome BP soon*
Welcome!

*and so it happened by a freak of destiny (or because Titania gave a hint at the ACE page) that an ace happened to wander by, just as had been the hope of the beautiful young queen of the elves*
Hi Paul, welcome to H2G2
My name's Bistroist and I'm one of the Guide's Assistant Community Editors (ACE's), that Titania mentioned. We're a bunch of volunteers who roam this place trying to be as nice and helpful as possible, and meet and greet as many newcomers as we can.
If there's something you need help with, or just want a few links to some of the cool places in here, I suggest you visit our common homepage.
http://www.h2g2.com/A214796
I'm not sure if you know this already, but there's a welcoming message to all newcomers over here

Other questions you'd might like to ask? Try the "ask H2G2" and "How do I..."-forums
http://www.h2g2.com/A148907 and http://www.h2g2.com/A242470
btw. In case you haven't noticed, the "Don't Panic" button in the top menu bar links to an occasionally useful help section.
Don't worry if you don't understand any of this, just stick this in your ear

Thanks 4 that message you sent the other day, well Ive been so confused that I only just realised that it was there, so here I am replying to it.
Right, (takes a deap breath) can you help me? Ive done a couple of little entries for the guide, but just wondered how long they take to become approved entries,if at all. Also, can I do anything else to my homepage? i.e. change the fonts, change the gackground, add pics, all that sort of thing. Thanks mate

Hi cat person, well garfield might look a bit out of place on my back, but I bet it saves you a lot of arm strain.
Some cats make me sneeze you know, but I can never tell which ones til its too late, they are cool though.

Hello Back Pack. So you've got a mobile H2G2 er too. Are you on a contract or do you just pump loads of money into a pay as you go? Don't you find the limit on how much you can enter a real arse?
Welcome!

Hello Bob, yep it is a pain but the phones still pretty good (nokia 7110). Its pointless using wap to send email cos it takes much to long to tap in a message, its better to just use the standard text to email service and use wap just to check out your other pop3 accounts. Anyway I'm on one2one precept 720 which gives me 720 mins of calls a month for 50 quid, including wap calls and after that all calls (peak and off peak) are only 5p per minute. Its still too slow however and much cheaper to buy a newspaper
