A Conversation for Things to Keep Children Amused on Long Journeys

My brother came up with this game. It's for two people. The first person asks the second person a question, and the second person has to answer the question in one word. Once they answer with more than one word, they get to ask the questions. We ruled out numbers and names. Adults are allowed to suggest words, even though the question asker might not want them to. The one downside to this game is the two people can get very annoyed at each other, or the adults can get very annoyed at the kids.
Example: Would you please pass the broccoli?
No.
Why not?
Apathy.
That's not a good enough answer. Why won't you pas the broccoli?
Because.
Because why?
Because.
Why?
No broccoli.
Hah! My turn!

This is simple, someone names a country, the next person names a country with the first letter the same as the last of the first word.
eg.Gabon-Nepal_Laos
This gets a little bit strategic if the players are not allowed to repeat nations, usually the game ends with people stuck on "A" countries, with only two (Afghanistan and Azerbaijan) possible escapes....

Cows.
Every field of cows passed gets one point to whoever sees it first and screeches 'cows!' first.
Whenever a cemetary is passed the first person to shout 'Dead cows!' gets all the other players points.
Thats all there is to it and it is brilliant fun!
