A Conversation for Volunteer to be a Scout

I've heard there's still a shortage of scouts. Wasn't there recruitment happening a few months ago? But I guess I'm game.

Apologies for crashing in, but I must ask...
Is there really a shortage of scouts? I'm subbed to this forum and I've noticed quite a lot of applications both at the recent recruitment drive and since then. Are things that desperate?
Someone mentioned a 'quota of eight' in something I've read in the last couple of days. Does that mean hootoo is frantically trying to get a minimum of eight scouts (in which case things must be desperate) or that another eight would be ideal in terms of numbers?
Given what I've seen recently with applications, I'd convinced myself that the scouting situation was well covered. I must have missed something, which if I have, means I'm possibly not subbed to the appropriate places. Is there discussions going on some place that I would have enjoyed reading?

You can go by train, you can go by bike, you can go by zike-bike if you like...
Sweet dreams.

I once saw a zeit-geist on a zike-bike, maybe. It was hard to tell. I was probably asleep. Never mind.

Hi Ishmael. Done any whale hunting lately?
It's from "Marvin K Mooney", bedtime story. Er... Dr Seuss. "The time has come, the time is now, Marvin K Mooney will you please go NOW."
And btw, for the record, 'howl' is not my hobby, he's my role-model.

Love that Dr Seuss
'Green Eggs and Ham' was the very first actual book with whole sentences in it that I ever read. Why, (daydreams), it seems only yesterday...
Come to think of it, it WAS only yesterday.

There's not a shortage of Scouts per se, there's a shortage of good Scouts, I'd say..
What's my fault?

Backlog? I can hardly keep up with the Frontlog.
I should change my parenthetical name to (the pathetic)

It's not your fault in this thread, it's your fault in the thread that made this thread.
Did that make sense?
Wow it sounds like the folks in here need an ego-boost!
Guys, you're all wonderful at something-or-another and no doubt there's someone out there who would appreciate that if they knew what it was and who you were, so buck up and lift that chin.
Key: Complain about this post
