Entry: Cardiac Nuclear Medicine Scan - A4314377
Author: Annie - front page author - U128652
Resubmission at the request of Ensign Phil.
It contains information from the hospital letter, but, having removed the FAQ's, I think it's an informative entry for anyone facing the same ordeal.

A few points;
Working in a department where these scans are done your description is very general and if you didn't state that some was taken from a hospital letter no-one would no. All the information in this article could be gathered by anyone who has had the scan.
The line about it being from a hospital letter does point out that the information is one hospital specific, which is good, but you could reword it to something like "This article is based on an example procedure, details may vary between hospitals"
I don't mean to sound like I'm blowing my own horn but you could link my article (A6870729)for people wanting an over view of NM.
I think ur experience of haveing the procedure explained by a staff nurse rathur than the rule. More often it would be a technician so your article should refect this. (Especially as there is nothing more likly to p*** off this Technician than calling him a nurse LOL).
I like the personal reflection style and would recomend your article to my patients any time.

You should also mention that although you will have to starve (unless otherwise instructed, like your self) diabetics will recieve special instructions and to make sure the NM dept. knows they are diabetic.

Just noticed something else;
Under ur list of possible names for the scan you should say that it is not exhasustive but point out that most names will be similiar to those listed.

I'm happy with this entry, if there are no more reviews, I'd be happy if a passing Scout would pick this.

I've read this from time to time through its journey in PR, and I think that now all the pamphlet vs personal experience stuff appears to be cleared up, it's a great intro to the test coupled with an idea of what ACTUALLy happens (which you can't get from a brochure).
Now, if only I were a scout...

PS You'd never guess from me commenting on all these heart-related entries that I'm training to be a psychiatrist

Well, I'll be.....thought I'd had every test going over the last 7 years, not had this one though. Orf for another angiogram soon, not quite the same. Excellent piece, look forward to reading it next via the Front page Annie.
Scouts, another one ready for the old Ticker dept.

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!
