Not sure the layout will be welcome but I hope this entry is informative, it was very well researched.smiley - winkeye I've kept it as question & answer as that was exactly how my own letter was laid out.

Very informative & oddly (morbidly?) engrossing.

It's not really clear if the Q&A is quoted directly from the letter & I think a footnote saying 'Magnetic Resonance Imaging' after MRI would be useful.

What a way to spend a day.

I've just wondered whether the "Researcher's Personal Experience" blockquote should all be in italics. If so, what do I do about 'Lovely Day' which is already in italics...smiley - erm

I think putting it all in italics would be a bit much. It's probably the most important part of the entry and putting it italics would make it seem like a bit of a bolt on.

Somebody's probably going to suggest you replace the subheaders with headers. Oh, hang on, that would be me then! I'm not sure what the problem with subheaders is but I *think* it's something to do with PDAs.

Do you mean all the "question" subheaders?smiley - erm

Yep. I think it makes the entry look a bit odd but it's what I was told to do with my Cannaletto entry.

I'm wondering if it would look better if the Q & A section was bullet-pointed instead of subheaders.
I'll give it a try...

Ref the technetium:

'The procedure takes place over two days. On the first day you will be given a small radioactive injection'. > The procedure takes place over two days. On the first day you will be given a small injection of radioactive technetium-99 (Tc.

This is all you need to say, I think. If you just copy and paste what I said above it will just put the '99m' into suopercript for you. smiley - ok

Oh thank you, very much indeed.smiley - biggrin

I've added you both as "aided and abeted" this entry in Peer Review, my first use of the new tech stuff (thanks edssmiley - ok)

I've stuck the whole Q & A section under a header entitled "FAQ's" and used bullet points for the questions. They might need spacing?

You've missed a bullet on the first question and I think the rest do need braks (dunno of it'd be s or s, I'm not that technical!) and, irritatingly, the links at the end not to be put into a sentence/paragraph . I'll just find an expalantory post from my Cana..PR thread.

I'm trying to work out a tidier way of doing the FAQ - I'll have it done in a bit, hopefully.

The superscript code doesn't work because it should be this: (99mTc)

Screatch rthat thing about the links - I think it was just the way I'd done it in my entry that casued the problem. Yours seem OK in the PDA 'skin' (but as usual I stand to be corrected).

Right, here goes...

smiley - cake

"attend [your hospital's] department"

Should that be "radiology department" or equivalent?

The spacing in your FAQ is rather awkard. At the moment I'm seeing an answer, then the next question, then a gap; rather confusing! You're also using tags on their own - ie, not nested in an or - and I'm not sure how allowed that is.

Try this:

Question One
Answer One

Question Two
Answer Two

Do this with all of the questions, and then finish with . I tested it on a little section of your text and it seemed to work ok, see what you think.

smiley - cake

Not sure about putting the whole 'experience' section in italics, but for reference - if you have some text which would normally be italicised, but it's in a paragraph which is already in italics, then you straighten it out, like this:

This is an italicised paragraph, with a reference to the album Definitely Maybe by Oasis.

(Oh, and by the way - headers are preferred over subheaders when breaking down an entry, because they indicate a new section on the pda platform and make browsing easier - you can jump between headers on a PDA, but you can't jump to subheaders. So I'm told. By those lucky enough to have a PDA smiley - tongueout)
