Sho - employed again! Started conversation Sep 11, 2000
in response to the call for recipes, I have written an entry about my (possibly) absolutely favourite food. Ever. With the single exception of Chunky Kit-Kats.
So, if you want to look it is at http://www.h2g2.com/A431803 (hope that works)
It is, as many will recognise, from Sarah Brown. But not everyone has her books.

You're welcome!
But did you try it yet? (also, I just heard that the Americans amongst you know Chick Peas as Garbanzo beans. Is this true?)
Also, just an aside. My daughter's (Saskia) nickname is Chickpea, and she gets really upset when we eat them. We have to tell her that hers are called Saskia and are special

They're known as both names I think. I live in a dorm room on campus at a University, with no stove, sink, etc., and I have always been a terrible cook anyway, so no I haven't tried your recipe yet, but I try to do it some day.

which begs the question: how/what do you eat?

Nasty nasty cafeteria food, with the occassional pizza or fast food thrown in. Actually, the cafeteria food isn't all that bad but they have so few vegetarian options. And this is AFTER the student animal rights organization finally won big concessions for vegetarians in the cafeterias 2 years ago. Apparently it was much worse before, which is hard to believe since very often the only veg options (at least at lunch time) is fries or mashed potatoes and fruit/vegetables. Oh well at least I don't live in Eastway [residence complex]. They only have 3 veg options on their menu. Veggi burger, fries, and cheese sandwhich (burger without the meat).

Could be worse. You might live here - where it is compulsory to eat meat 3 times per day! and the reaction when I have ordered veggie food (specifically in words of one syllable) and it comes with little bits of bacon in it is always "oh, it's not much meat" Grrrrr!
Ho hum. Still, I have chickpeas for dinner (again) yippeeeeee want to come over and share some - there's plenty for a deprived student!
Key: Complain about this post
