I am getting "No Results Found" searching the entries for such common words as RADIO, DIGITAL, TELEVISION, LANGUAGE, etc. Is the search function broken? Is there an alternative method to find entries by subject or content?

You probably want the category classification system (for EG entries anyway). It is accessible off the top of most pages (Life, The Universe and Everything). C6 is Science & Technology, C231 is Communications and C37 is Languages & Linguistics.

Traveller in Time searching for known results
"However the categorisation the search indeed does not work.
'Jim' can you 'kick' it, please?"

Traveller in Time still amazed by the powers
"Perhaps training the hamsters to 'kick' it would work?
Pressing the [Remote Hamster Kick] button ?"

Thanks for the suggestions. I tried category search and advanced search, still no joy. Curiously a search I did last week for "magnetism" still works. I logged off, cleared the cookies and form history and tried again. Only the 'old' search works. Words like computer, laser, plant, radio etc. have no results.
If only some people are having trouble, may the hamster cage does need a kick.

Traveller in Time on his head
"Seems like a progressive effect.
Indeed some searches still give result
[zero-gravity]
[magnetism]
[horseman]
[purity]
However most queries reply:
>No Results Found
This effect is site wide, the others sites are affected as well.
Perhaps something for a dedicated thread? "
