Why have I lost everything from my screen: conversations, friends, Entries, status as an Underguide Miner and an edited and accepted contributor to Peer Peview?
Is anyone out there to help me in this dilemma?

If this U1258998 is the account you're referring to, nothing is lost, it's still all there. I don't know why you can't access it id it's your account, though.

Hi Anabel,
It appears that I inadvertently opened a new account in my attempt to just sign into my own existing one! The sign on procedure would just not accept any of my identifiers with the exception of the name of my first school as a last resort, which got me accepted as a completely new Researcher, I have no idea why!

Hi Intern,
Just read your page as 'instructed'...interesting!
I get the impression that something has been done for me by the higher echelon of h2g2, which probably includes yourself!. So thanks for that!
Like you, when I've not got my head buried in a book (currently John Gribbin's 'Science: A History', having just read 'Untold Stories', Alan Bennett's autobiography, over a couple of weeks.) And also like you, when not on here or other sites, I'm either watching TV or listening to Radio 4!
I'm not usually one for novels, except the odd crime story from time to time; usually P. D. James. (I liked her 'Children of Men' a topical theme in many ways). My next book is already bought and awaiting the end of Gribbin's work...Bill Bryson's 'A Short History of Eveything'...another 600+ pages of delight!
Happy reading! And writing!
Now, where's that bleedin' book?
