I know this can't be the first thousand times this has been suggested, but it would be very nice if we were able to chat with other members/researches that are on line at the same time..

Ahh the old why doesn't h2g2 have a chat forum question. Well, we might do one day but at the moment we prefer the forum arrangement
as it allows postings to be kept in perpetuity. They are searchable and it allows me to post to thread that has been
dormant for let say 48 weeks. It also means that because time isn't a factor researchers in different time zones can meet
and chat.
