one of the problems for a constant misspeller like myself is that you tend not to be taken as seriously, even if your ideas have merit. is a spelling/grammer check feasable for The Guide?

Here's a place that might be a good place to ask for help with spell checking - A1022897
Your ideas should be taken seriously - good spelling or not. Naturally, it's always better to have good spelling, and people might be distracted by too many errors. Some people don't read articles at all if they don't have a fairly good quality of spelling.
So I'd say it's a good idea to have your spelling checked or check it yourself.

Even if your spelling isn't too good we can usually see through that to the content of an entry We've got lots of dyslexics here at h2g2 so we're used to... unirthodox spelling, and we're a pretty tolerant bunch, but there are always people to help you at the page Jodan pointed too
