There is only one thing worse than being Gosho, and that is not being Gosho Started conversation Nov 30, 2000
A number of us over at The h2g2 Procrastinator's Society are concerned at the fact that there's one important smiley missing. You've got all your major food groups (cake, chocolate, beer) except one - TEA! There's a coffee smiley, so how about a smiley, or perhaps even a cO~ if you're having guests over
And on a similar subject, how about a button to link to the smileys page? That would be kinda handy.

I agree on the smiley.
But as for the link, you can just click on any smiley and be taken to the smiley page.

Yeah I know, but if you're replying to a post, and it doesn't have a smiley in it, and you don't have any other h2g2 windows open (which of course would also need to have a smiley), then you have to go through a whole process of clicking on 'my space' or h2g2, etc, which might not be a big pain, but a button to the smileys page at the side here with all the others would be pretty handy now that we have such a superb and wide range of smileys

We do have a tea graphic, but it's not in the general list because we wanted to reserve it. It is only to be available to the in-house editors, because the tea symbol will be the universal symbol for 'calm down'.
In other words, if an argument is hotting up, Peta will be able to go into the forum and hand out cups of tea - which means 'calm down, have a cup of tea, and don't let this deteriorate into a flame war'.
Or something like that, anyway.

You guys have hit on something that has flashed around in my head, too--a link on the reply page to the smiley page itself for quick reference because I have trouble remembering if is < ill > or < sick > or < sickface > etc.
Although I know that is the correct one. That was just an example, don't you know...

Quite so Spartus. I'm sure that over a period of time, we'll probably have most of them committed to memory anyway through constant usage, but it wouldn't be a big problem either to have a button would it? I agree with you Bruce that the url is very easy to remember, I just think a button would be a handy-dandy facility.
And to Mark and h2g2 support, I'll pass on your post about the tea graphic. Be prepared for more posts from a bunch of frustrated procrastinators.... some time or other (That's a neat idea btw, having Peta hand out cuppas that way)

What do we want?
We want
When do we want it?
Umm, tomorrow will do as we're a bit tied up right now watching this really good video...
*Takes quick draught of since there doesn't seem to be any available.*

Good idea about the Smiley link from the posting page - I'll add it to the suggestions list.
I can't add it just like that, 'cos I don't have control over the posting page, unlike the entry editor... I'll have to rely on the expertise of our tech team.

*gets out some nice bone china cups and saucers*
I'd like one too please.
And can I stick my fin in here? A tea smiley would be very nice indeed. Anything that makes procrastinators spring into action must be worth thinking about?
