Thanks, Elf.smiley - ok

I've done those all except:

and to carry -- the sense wasn't quite right here and I changed it to:

a refuelling probe was added, to allow it to stay airborne for up to 16 hours, and it carried defensive air-to-air missiles.

who was on the way home from the pub - I think "the pub" is the normal phrase and will be understood by the reader.

smiley - wow you steamed through those Gnomon. I need to find out more about your edit tools.

Thanks for proof reading rudest elf - what would we do without you?

I don't use any special editing tools for those: just two windows, one with the list of changes and the other with the editing window.

Thanks, Gnomon. "what would we do without you?" What would I do without h2? . It would be great if we had a team of 'Polishers' similar to the Underguide Gem Polishers, don't you think? By the way, I've had no response to these: EF: Christchurch Castle, Dorset, UK http://wsogmm.h2g2.com/dna/h2g2/alabaster/F47997?thread=8283417 EF: Odiham Castle, Hampshire, England, UK http://wsogmm.h2g2.com/dna/h2g2/alabaster/F47997?thread=8284271

Just bounce them, and a curator may come along.

The curators are the polishers.

By the way, you don't need wsogmm at the start of the addreses. Just h2g2.com will do.

Duly bounced.

"The curators are the polishers." I was under the impression that the curators respond to queries raised by Researchers, rather than systematically scouring Entries themselves. I guess they must make a lot of changes (both factual & typographical) that don't go through the EF system. One thing's for sure - there is plenty of work to be done, and too few are doing it.

"you don't need wsogmm at the start of the addreses." I just C & P'd the address from the Entries.

You don't need wsogmm anywhere.

Some curators like to respond to queries in Editorial Feedback. Others like to find things to do themselves.

The formerly most active curator by far has now moved on to being a Guide Editor.

Changes that curators make which are not in response to Editorial Feedback are reported at the Curators' Page.

Yes, it's clear that the Curators do important work. However, they don't appear to go through Edited Entries systematically.
