Danny B, yours is the most amusing and memorable entry of the lot chosen to represent h2g2 writing for the anthology.
I must confess that these typos did not spoil my enjoyment one iota:
might be

no doubt
end point
halfway
tea lady

You're very kind!
I've changed all of those except 'endpoint', which is a word I've used five days a week, 50 weeks a year for the past 11 years in all manner of scientific journals and other publications!
I'm also not convinced about losing the hyphen from no-doubt in that particular context, but I'll let you have that one

I like 'endpoint' as one word, and Oxford may well, one day, have the same opinion .

Part of me now wants to hunt through OUP-published journals looking for the use of 'endpoint' but even I have better things to do!
