Danny B, yours is the most amusing and memorable entry of the lot chosen to represent h2g2 writing for the anthology. smiley - applausesmiley - spacesmiley - bubbly

I must confess that these typos did not spoil my enjoyment one iota:

might be

no one

no doubt

end point

halfway

tea lady

smiley - reindeer Feeling a bit cheeky about this...

smiley - blush

You're very kind! smiley - smiley

I've changed all of those except 'endpoint', which is a word I've used five days a week, 50 weeks a year for the past 11 years in all manner of scientific journals and other publications!

I'm also not convinced about losing the hyphen from no-doubt in that particular context, but I'll let you have that one smiley - winkeye

smiley - cheers

I like 'endpoint' as one word, and Oxford may well, one day, have the same opinion smiley - biggrin.

As always, I do check with oxford, and they say http://www.oxforddictionaries.com/view/entry/m_en_gb0265650#m_en_gb0265650

Nevertheless, it *is* your entry, and I'm happy for you to leave it any way you like.

smiley - reindeer

Part of me now wants to hunt through OUP-published journals looking for the use of 'endpoint' but even I have better things to do! smiley - biggrin
