Thanks for writing this article..
haven't really thought 'bout the accident that much.
I've never been to roskilde myself, but a lot of my friends have, and I was actually planning on going this year...
Anyway, thanks again, coz this made me think, and it moved me quite a bit too!

You are more than welcome. I can tell you it move me writing the article.
I am thinking about setting a memorial web site, so if anyone has anything to say I will try and add it as soon as I can.
I would highly recommend you do goto Roskilde whenever you have the chance next.

I'll add my bit to the chorus and thank you for putting a voice to thoughts that so many people have had since Friday night.
I wasn't at the festival though I have been 2 or 3 times on earlier occasions. I live relatively near by and actually work in Roskilde -- even though that's far from being there, I certainly was hit by this sad tragedy, too.
I also very much appreciate the attitudes put forwards from the contributors to the article forum -- however tragic this thing was and is, it is important to carry on. Respectfully, most certainly, but with an eye on the fact that life is stonger than death as I think it was put from somebody at the festival.
I also read an account about how moving DAD's concert at the Orange Stage was -- as I read it, they appeared and did a show in a way that made just the point that this accident was incredibly tragic but also that by being together, having the music and facing the sadness, we can all get through it.
And I am sure that festival arrangers can and will think of ways to improve security and well being of their guests without being told so by scores of politicians...!
All the best to you all and lots of kind thoughts for the people whose lifes have been touched by this tragedy,
SG V

Wonderful words. You talked about the festival organisers finding ways to improve security and the well being of us festival goers. I had a thought last night, why don't we all write down our ideas?
I think that if we (as festival attendees) could gather our ideas and present them to the festival organisers, it would do two things. Firstly give them a different point of view on how to improve things and secondly show how much support there is for festivals like Roskilde to continue.

Another good point!
I'll see what I can think of and get back with it (if anything materialises, that is).
I have also started dropping words in here and there to ask other Researchers to pop by and read, think - and maybe suggest...
Once h2g2 starts rolling, you never know where it might end up -- that's just one of the cool things about this place

Totally, totally agree. All four of us that went to Roskilde together were all talking about what a great format H2G2 is. In a way it reminds me of the forum's that used be on CompuServe (showing my age here?).
I really appreciate your help and involvement in this, keep up the good work.
