Very nice article. I used to live at the Barnes end of Dryburgh Road in the late Seventies and drank extensively in the Half Moon - generally to the comedic jazz of Bob Kerr's Whoopie Band, wonder what happened to them? Don't tell me they are still there!?
Jilly Cooper was a resident and living in one of the houses around the common at that time.
Putney Hospital seemed equally devoid of nurses and patients at that time.

I was a semi-regular at the Putney Brick - Great Sunday Dinners - an went in yesterady to be told that it has been sold and will be knocked down and replaced with flats in 2 weeks time
