Parrots and Monkeys and Surprises, oh my!!!
soeasilyamused, or sea Started conversation Oct 5, 2001
tonight was the opening night of my show, Still Life with Parrot and Monkey. well, it's not /my/ show, really. i'm just running lights.
so anyway, i wasn't nervous about the show until i went to turn down the lobby lights and came face-to-face with my tech theatre teacher from high school (who, incidentally, i had a HUGE crush on throughout senior year). he had come with my friends bekah and natalie to surprise me and see my show!!!!
and surprise me they did! my jaw hit the floor, i /swear/!!!
then, afterwards, we went to denny's for dessert, and we went down to the row to check out the frat parties. again, they must have seen me coming, because the row was DEAD. only two houses were having parties. *sigh*
so anyway, that kinda sucked. plus, i knew kyle was out a the row, and my friends wanted to meet him... so i had to watch for him all night. then we saw him, but we didn't go talk to him. what would i say? *shrug* sadly, i have absolutely NOTHING to say to him!
saw jeff from my "sex & jeff" class (as G7 calls it) at the AEPi party. bekah kept trying to get me to go over to him, but i was much too tired to do the outgoing thing. *shrug* oh well. we're going to go back next friday and see if it's livelier then. and we're going to eat lots of sugar before we go.

I think /swear/ing and spitting is not allowed here
I have good advice for you: You don't need any reason to talk to kyle, you want to talk to him because you like him, so do it!

sorry 'bout the itchy mouse finger...
well, boys can be jerky. but maybe you should talk to him anyway. i may have lost out, but if i lost out on a jerk, well, then...
it just may be worthwhile.

i hope he's not a jerk, either, especially since it's hard to get over the cute ones, but they have many disguises. mine was so sweet to me when everyone else was teasing me for being a klutz, and then he acted like i was some little kid he never met in his life. he also turned his girlfriend against me...
i don't think ne1 can be that jerky.

While it is true that you should talk to someone when you like him/her, I've usually found that it helps to have an "excuse" or something. That way you avoid situations like this:
Me: Um, hi!
Her: Hi.
Me: Um... hi...
Her: You said that.

Well, I have a different mechanism, my friends call it the RTB* chip in my brain.
Whenever my brain is not occupied by anything of importance, I bulls**t like hell breaking loose. I am a smart and whitty (evidentally) person, so it isn't a too bad bu**sh*t, so it makes people think I'm reallt froody and my towel is tied to my ankle and ready to be drawn .
Letting the RTB loose at a new aquaintance or a girl I like, usually leads to a funny and interesting conversation, and when it comes, the RTB just goes IDLE till further need .

I find RTB usefull in debate, but not when attempting to talk to people I am genuinely interested in. Actually caring about a person tends to choke me up until I get to know her better. Also, I don't want to come off as a complete bullsh***er if I want a girl to like me.
