erm...how about female then? there's a chance she'll have kittens then! or you could have one of each
hmm...looking after them...you don't really have to do a lot...they need a link back to their mummy for all those emergencies 
and a 
would be good too, either for them to eat, or play with. depending no what they want to do. pretty easy things to look after really.
