Omens of Oblivion: A Haunted Mind
During the long ride towards the spot the map on the tomb had inidicated, Freya had way too much time to think. She still hadn't recovered her memory, but every now and then, random things would trigger a piece of memory, just like the map, on the tomb.
And now, heading for the spot on the map, Freya knew she could find her way to it - in fact, it was so clear in her mind she could almost visualise it. Combined with some of the elements revealed in her dreams, she felt a heavy weight deep down in her stomache that made her feel sick. What if she...?
Determinedly, Freya pushed all such thought aside at the sight of a cave entrance This was it. Depending on the number of cultists, she could either try to fight them, or pretend to join them. She got off her horse and entered the cave.
Once inside, Freya found there was light flickering ahead of her. Without thinking, she marched down the tunnel and up to a figure standing before a closed door, with flags decorating the wall on each side, depicting a sunrise against a blood red background.
'Dawn is breaking.'
'Greet the new day' Freya replied, almost in a trance.
The gate opened, and she entered, only to be welcomed by Harrow, a Dunmer cultist, who asked her to leave all of her belongings behind and providing a simple robe, in order to become initiated.
As they approached the main area, Freya could hear someone preaching.
'Praise be! The Dragon Throne is empty, and we hold the Amulet of Kings!'
Upon hearing these words, Freya run towards the platform, but before she could get up the stairs, Mankar Cameran; the leader of the cultists, vanished into a magic portal, carrying the Amulet of Kings with him.
While cursing quietly to herself for missing an opportunity to grab the amulet, Freya was asked to kill an Argonian who lay unconscious on the altar, as part of her Mythic Dawn initiation.
As she mounted the steps, Freya noticed a book titled 'The Mysterium Xarxes' next to the ceremonial dagger on the pulpit. Grabbing the dagger, she slowly turned around and raised her arm.
