Hello!

I have some remarks to the Aachen article:

* right at the beginning is written:
"about 70 miles to the west of Düsseldorf or Cologne."

It's about 70 km, not miles.

* Chapter: Where to go and Places to See
"Having suffered only little damage during the World Wars"
that's not correct: Aachen was heavy damaged (about 2/3) during
WWII; the rebuilt finished in 1966.

* Chapter: The Cathedral (Dom), second section
"The cathedral's foundation stone was laid around the end of the 8th
Century and you can still see the remains of Karl the Great
(Charlemagne) in an antique sarcophagus. Well, you can't actually
see him as the sarcophagus is metallic."

Lot of these information comes twice (and does not fit at this
position very good, I think)

a) "The cathedral's foundation stone was laid around the end of the
8th Century"
-> see first section:
"The central building, the octagon, was build in about 800 AD
by Karl dem Großen"

b) "and you can still see the remains of Karl the Great
(Charlemagne) in an antique sarcophagus. Well, you can't
actually see him as the sarcophagus is metallic."
-> see third section:
"... at Karl's coffin (it's also golden)"

[Note: in the treasury there is a reliquary where you can
actually *see* some of Karl's bones!]

Maybe add to the first section the English and French name of Karl:
'The central building, the octagon, was build in about 800 AD by
Karl the Great (german: Karl dem Großen; French: Charlemagne).

* Chapter: The Cathedral (Dom), third section
"In this shrine there are three religious items of clothing from
history:"
that's wrong: there are four. Add "loincloth from Jesus".

* Chapter: The Cathedral (Dom), forth section
Not "In the rear"; maybe something like "near", "nearby", ...

* Chapter: City Hall (Rathaus)
Also there are some infos twice (and some which do not belong to the
city hall at all).

"In this historical place the annual bestowal of the Karlspreis -
International Charlemagne Price of the City of Aachen - takes
place."
-> see section Karlspreis

"During summer Aachen hosts the Kultursommer, a series of
festivals, concerts and other events that mostly take place on the
Katschhof, the place between Cathedral and Town Hall."
-> better: a own point / section "Kultursommer"

"Other highlights are the CHIO (the famous international riding and
jumping tournament) in July"
-> CHIO

"and the Christmas market in December."
-> Christmas market

* Chapter: Pontstraße
Renti (from another discussion) was right: this is not the main
public street, this is the street which the most bars, cafes and
restaurants.

* Chapter: CHIO
CHIO is not only horse jumping. It's all you can do with horses
tournament.

* Chapter: Pubs and Restaurants

- "Pero" is misspelled; it's called "Pera"

Add:

- "Maggelan": a good restautant with cocktail bar

* Chapter: Conversation, second section

"If you want to speak German with these people, be careful, cher
Platt is mostly not German."

an "Ö" is missing:

"If you want to speak German with these people, be careful, öcher
Platt is mostly not German."

Best regards
