Gordon has bought us tickets to go see Gerry & the Pacemakers (and supporting act The Searchers) on 23 Oct. I am almost beside myself with excitement, I tried to see Gerry in the 60s when they came to Cleethorpes but I was too young, so I feel like I'm all grown up now.

Sounds wonderful. That really takes me back, and I was old enough The music scene was so alive and innocent then, by today's 'standards' at least

Gerry used to live in the village where Hubby worked. They used to chat quite often. He's a very nice man
I saw The Searchers many moons ago, and had a fabulous time!

One of my all time favourite songs 
and gives me goose bumps
Seeing an audience stop dancing to listen and sing was something else Not the originals but a local band made good and very popular at the time.

There's been a lot of fuss about using Jerusalem for the English anthem in the Commonwealth Games. You know, I think YNWA might be better.
