smiley - groan Whats your work schedule like, Bel? One day on, one day off, with lunchtime in between? Remember DNA's wise words - time is an illusion, lunchtime doubly so. And its lunchtime right now :D

Catch you later,

It's not 'one day on, one day off', it's four days/week, and it changes which days I'm off and which I work.
Hope you enjoyed your lunch, must be nearly midnight now where you are, so I guess you are asleep. smiley - smiley

Got my kid sis hooked on to Harry Potter yesterday morning, half an hour later I grabbed it outta her hands and started reading myself smiley - biggrin She got #2 in the morning today, took that too. Finished it, waiting for #3. Been a long time since I've read them, I still get drawn into the story. Not outgrown them yet smiley - smiley

I'll drink (coffee) to that! Read 'em all, right when they came out, but since #6 was over a year ago, I can barely remember anything, besides stuff about Horcruxes, and Dumbledore dying (nnnnnooooooo!!!!!!!). I really loved the way Rowlings writing style seems to mature with each book, it really makes you realize the difference between 11 and 15 year old Harry. The 6th book was just superb, and I can't wait for the 7th. I'm just dreading the fact that after I finish that, there isn't going to be anything else to look forward to.

I think I'll go and be miserable for a while.

No more hp! c'est impossible!!!

btw - when's your next day off, Bel?

Hello Cyclone smiley - smiley
Is a seventh book planned ? I remember waiting for the 4th and 5th book, then the excitement calmed down, so when the 6th book was published, I bought it because I happened to be in a shop where they sold it for a really good price, but I wouldn't have gone out of my way to buy it, I think. smiley - smiley
I enjoyed reading it, though, and will certainly read the 7th book if there will be one. smiley - smiley
Why do you think there are no other books to look forward to ? There are so many wonderful books, I'm sure you'll find a few that you will enjoy reading. smiley - ok
Have you ever read 'The Hobbit' and 'The Lord of the Rings' ? They make for a very good read, too, although they're not 'new'.

Yeah, there will be a 7th (and last) book. Hogwarts has 7 academic years, so there's no way Harry's gonna spend an 8th, unless he flunks, and I doubt HP fans are going to like that smiley - biggrin

Infact, there are rumours that Harry won't be returning to Hogwarts, now that Dumbledore's dead (mentioned in the last chapters of #6), and the school might just shut down. JKR has promised more deaths in the 7th, and also revealed the last word of the book's name. Don't really remember much, so you can check out the numerous Harry Potter websites for more rumours.

No other HP books, was what I meant. Gonna be hard letting go of all the fantastic stuff JKR has conjured up.

Naah, saw the movies before I could get my hands on a JRT, didn't really enjoy them much, so it kinda killed my enthusiasm regd the books. I'm gonna re-read the Hitchhiker's Guide series after I finish with the HP. I love Douglas Adams' writing style, I still collapse laughing in the midst of his books. When I first read them, it was so bad that I use to get laughter-attacks in the midst of even history lessons, sometimes while doing absolutely nothing at all, and the worst - while swimming. Breaking into hysterical giggles with your head underwater is not a pleasant experience, trust me smiley - biggrin

I've only ever watched the first LOTR movie, didn't bother to watch the others, so you should definately read the books - they're fantastic !
If you want to have a good laugh, you should read the 'Wilt' books by Tom Sharpe - they had me in tears when reading them, as had most of his other books. smiley - laugh
Oh, and I'll unsubscribe from the other conversation, after all, it's not about writing an introduction on your peronal space. It can't be that hard to write a few words, you do here smiley - winkeye

Yeah, but then, This is Personal.

But so is that. Oh well, allright, I'll do it.

Eventually.

Wilte, Tom Sharpe, roger roger. Will hunt. And not the Matt Damon way.

BTW - How's the Hitchhiker's Guide movie, and any plans of seeing the DaVinci Code? I hear its a disappointer, with people saying the movie leaves you extremely confused as to what it was all about. And its rather long.

The Hitchhiker movie was very disappointing if you ask me, but then I've seen the tv series (I've got that on DVD),and have read the books. Most of the audience seemed to enjoy the movie, but then they were all young, and probvably never read the books or watched the tv series, or listened to the original radio series. smiley - erm
I don't think I'll go and watch the Da Vinci Code, maybe I will once it's on TV. I've read the book and did enjoy it, but at least here on hootoo, I belong to a minority and better not say that aloud smiley - laugh

The book was really good, I thought it'd have a rather largish fan following here. Strange. I've just downloaded Wilt!, I'll start reading after lunch, if my eyes can take the strain, that is. Last 2 months I've been o/l for over 10 hours a day, its taking a major toll on the eyesight. Things're fuzzy for most of the time, and I'm too vain to go see the ophthalmologist smiley - biggrin

ACE's Hi

You can download it ? I wonder why I still go and spend money on books smiley - erm
There is an option somewhere to enlargen the 'printing' of a site, but I can't remember how to do it , I think it's in the upper toolbar, in 'view' but it doesn't always work smiley - erm
It's probably better you went to see your ophtalmologist smiley - ok
I must be going now, things to do.
See you around smiley - smiley

Sorry for the absence, Bel, been real busy, what with college admissions and all. Gotta go for counselling in end June for 19 colleges, then head north to my home-city of Chandigarh for another 5 colleges, and then its east to another state for its counselling in mid July. And since classes start on the 17th in most, I guess I'm not gonna have much time o/l till first semester finishes, sometime before christmas. Man, I hate being 16! All sorts of future-deciding-decisions and all that stuff when all I want to do is lie down and catch the world cup. grrrrrr.......

awww, gtg, mum's calling.
Catch you later,
