I didn't realize that NYC students could read and write!

Zeek the Prophetic

I am impressed. As a former student in the NYC B of E I am glad to see that there is still some intelligence floating around in the Hallowed halls.

Unfortunately I don't understand the whole thing about who the US has attacked and what that has to do with the succession of New York from the rest of the nation. Even though it's in the Constitution to do so, NO STATE OR CITY CAN SECCEDE(sp?) from the US. Some states tried once and it really didn't work. Now if Texas wanted out they can have it, but that's about it.

As for who the US has attacked and who England has attacked, well that is what big countries do, they attack smaller countries to make other big countries fear them. It isn't right but it seems to have worked until now.

NYC actually did try to secede from the state, and it's obvious that it was unsuccessful. I'm, of course, looking for the ideal, not the realistic. As long as I'm wishing for improbable results, I want Manhattan declared a CAR-FREE ZONE, and all guns whatsoever banned from the country. Also, I want protests in the streets, and riots overtaking all the Republicans currently in power, and for Nader to win. But, as I said, that's never going to happen.

As for the list of countries, I only want to say to my classmates (almost all immigrants or children of immigrants) "There! Right there! See? You're country's on the list!" Regardless of whether we're powerful or not, England and the US together have continued this huge history of imperialism to the point where at least 1/3 of the 217 countries in this world have felt the wrath first-hand...

...Which reminds me. It's been 4-5 months since I changed the introduction. I think it's gotten a bit stale...

which school, might I ask?
