At last, I thought (and the Gruesomes thought) that the day would never arrive.
I'm currently skiving from what I'm supposed to be doing: namley, packing for our annual holiday.
This time we're off (via a nice easy drive over three days through Europe) to Croatia. We're camping on the journy there and back, staying in a hotel there.
Tomorrow morning we'll leave early, and I have no idea when exactly we'll be back. I'm back at work on 16th August. Two and a half weeks!! how will they cope without me? I'd like to see it, actually.
I think I've sufficiently trained up the assistant to do my stuff, and the others do know what to do, if only they jiggle their braincells a bit.
So, wishing everyone fun without me, and I'll see you when I get back all tanned and

Happy hols Sho! They say Croatia is beautiful, and I've met some really witty guys from there.
I came to your PS to leave you a message about books, but here will do. Just saw your top ten in A1016957. Verry interesting -- your put Scott at the top! and Oliver Twist is in there!
I never read Scott, I was put off by my Dad who read them all and found them unutterably boring (then why did he read them? Because he was forbidden to), but I did read Oliver T and found it turgid and indigestibly ghastly in both its worlds, the kindly and the unkindly. But I'm entirely with you on Fathers and Sons.
Key: Complain about this post
