A Conversation for 'Danger Mouse' - the TV Series

Greenback, Alien & Grovel?

The series was a hit in our home. It was active and funny enough for our son, and the humour mostly adult enough to keep our interest, something like Rocky & Bullwinkle where some of the humour was intentionally aimed over the heads of the kids.
Wasn't Greenback a Toad? Didn't see him described, animalwise.
And, what was the name of the space alien with the robot named, unfortunately, Grovel? His episodes were pretty funny, too.

Just a point on Danger Mouse's car; it didn't seem to run without his music going. In fact, in one episode all the world's music had been sucked up, and DM had to resort to a hilarious, but unfortunately timed, back-up cassette.

Yep, he was a toad. And the alien you're mostly thinking of there is Quark. He had a space ship that was a Q ball. He was coolsmiley - biggrin

And I got that episode on tape. I think it's brilliant that the cast have to sing the end creditssmiley - biggrin

Quark! Yeah, that was the guy!
Sorry master, sorry master.

I'm sure that only a portion of them made it to the channel on which my son and I watched them. I'd be interested to know if the DVD's ever become available.

And, I think it was Ducula that stole all the music and forced the team to resort to the back-up tape.

And it was some random wolf bloke that stole the music. All Duckula was interested in was being on the telly.

Okay, this geek's gonna hide nowsmiley - blush

Yes, I'm in the state of Michigan, USA.
Thanks for clearing up the music theft. That one went over particularly well with my family!

Hello, there. I always seem to come late to the interesting topics. i remember the music episode well. I'm also American, and was wondering on the availability of DVDs, either stateside or mail-order or however. I wouldn't mind paying BBC's sometimes horrendously overpriced fees for a Danger Mouse collection. I saw every American aired episode, which i believe was about two seasons, maybe three?

There's a email list that I subscribe to that has a lot of Americans facing the same problem. It may be worth checking out a few of the sites on my space if you want to find some, but I'm not sure they're issuing them over theresmiley - erm

I see that their is a DVD with six episodes available in the UK and Ireland, going for Retail Price: £9.99.

As a bonus, it includes the first Count Duckula episode.
