Here's a photo of a gorgeous comet I found this morning, it's heading for the northern hemisphere and should be viewable next week near to Sirius, an excellent marker.

I am glad you got some days off! Enjoy your holidays and thanks for the Christmas truce entry, I thought how it must have offered some respite to the guys who experienced such horrors in the trenches.

It's quite amazing how that worked out. I was inspired to write it, and it was on the FP less than a week later. Truly inspirational and quite astonishing. My paternal granddad (whom I never met) was in that war. We can only hope those poor souls had some solace in those dark days.
