(Ouch. Sorry, that was painful)
Just wanted to say I was LOL at the reference to a nasty bottle of something being passed from party to party.
Inversely, we kept passing on a bottle of mediocre champaigne, on the grounds that we were saving it for a special occassion. As far as I know, it's still doing the rounds now. I also bet that it tastes nasty anyway.

True story. I think we eventually used it as lighter fluid on a graduation BBQ if memoery serves.
Champagne was always cheap when you were students except on the day of the final exam when we all treid to out do each other with the champagne.

Afraid I we didn't stretch to champaigne after our last exam, just copious quantities of beer. Over a period of two solid days, if I recall correctly. Without a break. Stumbled home two days after my last exam with an entire beach in my shoes and the beginnings of a monster hangover. Very little recollection of where I'd been. I do remember visiting a Cash and Carry to by drink in bulk. So more a case of BYOF - bring your own forklift.
Hardly touch the stuff now of course

A workmate told me that his brother had held a party at which he had hidden a rather large and expensive bottle of vodka, cunningly disguising it by pouring into a (cleaned out) white spirits container and leaving it in the shed.
It got drank, anyway.
Key: Complain about this post
