Hey there ...... smiley - smiley

How's things?

Just thought I'd come by an introduce myself. Hi, I'm Phoenix.

You know, the first time I came by your page I didn't realize that the little cats in your space ship appear and disappear. I did notice the little swimming fishy however. How couldn't one? Nice. I'd want one myself, but seeing it swim around every time I came to my page would remind me of the one in my ear too often. smiley - winkeye

Have you started your study of playing the saw yet? How's that coming. I've always thought that they sounded pretty cool when played well, but could never get any good sounds out of them myself. I hope you like it and do well. smiley - smiley

Thanks for dropping by, Phoenix! It's always nice to have guests.

I enjoy having the cats pop in and out on my page... sort of like in real life. Trying to decide what to do about the fish, though.. He doesn't look as good in Alabaster (seems awfully confined) as in Goo, so I may need to do a little modification there.

I love the story about your towels in your introduction!
'You sass that hoopy Phoenix? There's a frood who really knows where his towel is.'

I just started on the musical saw (just got the saw and bow and all). I can produce some good tones with the little hammer thingie, but I really haven't gotten anywhere much with the bow yet. However, I have motivation... The Theatre Department is doing 'The Grapes of Wrath' this fall, which includes on-stage musicians who provide the scene changes, the band at the camp, and sounds like the truck starting up, with fiddle, jaw harp, washtub bass, musical saw, guitar, banjo, harmonica, etc. I'm musical director and one of the actor/musicians so, thinking I would have a hard time finding a musical saw player, I decided to learn it myself. So now I have to get relatively good at it by the end of the summer smiley - bigeyes

Thanks again. Drop by any time.

Thank you. I think that's one of the nicest things anyone has ever said about me. smiley - smiley Ah, and so true too. My original towel has traveled to Germany and back with me, and helped to keep me warm during the time I was homeless there. It's also traveled with me across the USA quite a few times. It's survived snow storms with me, and floods. It has certainly been a good companion thoughout the years.

Do you think the singing saw is something your going to keep doing once the production is over? I play the TIbetan Singing Bowl sometimes. smiley - smiley
