Note that, in the last part of the 1990's, a sort of "Ska ressurection" movement has started making ripples in the scene. Spearheaded by acts like the Pietasters, the Slackers, and others, these bands perform a mixture of all three influences, creating a new and unique style of ska, dubbed "Fourth-wave" by New Jersey ska band Catch-22.
