Just a small error, but it was the heatwave of 1966 that turned ska into rocksteady, not '64. It wasn't the only reason, but it was a contrbuting factor.

You could well be right. I can't lay my hands on my source of the heatwave date as I've just moved an most of my things are lurking in cardboard boxes. It was the sleeve notes for one of the Island 40 year anniversary CDs. Can you point me in the direction of a reference.
Once an entry has been posted, its posted for life as it seems that the concept of keeping entries current was (and still is) beyond the wit of the h2g2 team.
I have an "unauthorised" entry that I can update. It's "A573527 Ska - The Forth Bridge Edition".
I'd appreciate any other suggestions/additions.
