h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Does anybody else think that school spirit is a really silly idea? I'm proud to admit that I don't give a darn about which grade can yell the loudest, or perform some mundane (and usually insane) task the fastest, or whether we win game XYZ in J. Random sport, or cheers of any kind.

["Yeh. The teachers are the only ones who like school," says YK's clone. "Incidentally, Spirit Week consists of five days in which staff and students come to school with ... well, something completely different. Monday is Wacky Hair Day," (he messes up his hair) "Tuesday is Hat Day," (he whips out a Cat in the Hat hat and takes a black kitten out of it) "Wednesday is Twin Day," (he indicates himself) "Thursday is Team Colors Day," (he is suddenly wearing all red and white) "and Friday is Dress Up/Dress Down day, in which the kids dress up all formal like -- well, in theory anyway -- and the teachers don't."]
