Sorry to nitpick, but DigiMon did not begin life on the comic stands. It started out as a humble Tamagotchi-alike released by Bandai in 1997, and following the digital-screen success of cute little monsters in Pokemon, was made into a TV show.
(Personally I've never seen or heard of a Manga incarnation of DigiMon, but if it does exist, it will have been created after the TV show, not before.)
