GOD... you have been busy! Of course, I should have expected that of course!
I like this one too! Are you compiling a whole folio of comedians? Can I publish this one at some time also? Maybe this one first and Kenny second?
Thanks again

Due to the lack of source material, this one is a little lumpen in comparison. Still, if you want to use it perhaps putting in his classic phrase below would be a good idea...
I had intended to work MY way through a series of biographies on British Comedians, and I have gathered resources on Spike Milligan, Peter Cook, Billy Connolly, Rik Mayall, Adrian Edmonson (and definitely OTT Bill Hicks ). It's just finding the time/motivation to complete them. If people like the first two, I'll see what I can do...

I enjoyed reading about Dave Allen, too. Is it not - will it never be - possible to add just a tiny jpeg or even an mpeg ("Richard the third" springs to mind). I can hardly remember what he looked like.
And there are plenty of good women comedians and American comedians who need drawing to the attention of our intelligent readers. Can someone help me remember the name of an American stand-up guy called Bill and then some Swedish surname. Get an earload of him and I challenge you to stay on your chair.
Lets jazz it up - this site seems to be crawling with forty-somethings wallowing in their sixties and 70's memories. Mind you, that's fun, too sometimes.

Dave Allen was / is a great comic. It's such a pity that his form of television has all but disappeared. The idea of stand up ( or sitting in a chair) then going onto sketches should be revived. The 1970's was the golden era for televsion comedy. it's a pity that today all televsion planners are interested in is gardening, animal or cookery shows.
