Ampton and the cleaning bot have done their part admirably in relief bartending, bussing, table replenishment and washing up as the party goes. A hand for the bots!

And the party continues, with full smorgasbord and amazing drinks concocted by the colonel -- and maybe even a visit from the guest of honour!

It could happen... I suppose. smiley - winkeye

With all the interest the Venutian Sunrise generated, I'm going to make an attempt at it in real life. Having a relative who tends bar for a living should make that rather easy to do. I'll let y'all know how it turns out.

*fills Styx's bowl as prescribed but puts it on floor so as not to tax Styx's new skills*

You want to develop skill with paws and fingerlets, we'll find or have made small tools for you to practise with.

I don't understand it, Styx, but I'm getting to like you.

Well, I'm hungry too, and ready for a real drink. No paint thinner. I shall make this a beer afternoon. What do y'all recommend?

Coming right up, Odradek.

Lil, are you looking for real-world beer advice? I would say that your best bet would be a microbrew, but those are regional, and I don't know which ones are available in your region. Still, Samuel Adams' Boston Lager is available nationwide, as is Killian's Red. Either one is a good bet.

Ahh, there you all are.

I think I'll stick with champagne.

I highly recommend Dinkle Acker. It's a great German pils from the S.E. region. Ran into it in Hiedleburg in a previous life and must say was my favorite amonst legions of field tests. Doesn't ship the greatest but, if you get it from someplace that sells a lot of it you should be OK.

Gotta keep running.

*peers about and does not notice any carrot cake*

sigh! Oh, well. ttfn

There was a barrel of Foster's wheeled in, allegedly to get Q used to the taste. Why this would be, I have no idea, since no self-respecting Aussie will touch the stuff. I know, I've been there.

There was also a barrel of Bass Ale wheeled in. I'm not much on ales, but there are several I will drink. This one isn't one of them.

We've also got the Pilsn pilsner in the fridge back there... I hear good things about it, but I haven't tried it.

If there's anything else, you might find it in the fridge... being an IC model, you never know what you might find.

Did jr say the carrot cake is all gone? Can't have that.

Ampton, be a sweetie and run on over to my home page. There's a fresh cake there that you can bring back to the party. Thanks.

*Ampton looks around, sees he's currently not needed anywhere else, and goes on his errand*

Pilsner is the type of beer. Pilsn is the town in the Czech Republic from which it originated, and draws its name. The specific pilsner brought in was named Budvar. I believe it's the same company that used the name Budweiser long before the Americans did, but the American company threatened to sue for the use of the name. The Czechs could not afford such a trial, and they abandoned their name.
